CheMLAB and autoMATIC are located in the beautiful Downtown Phoenix Wasteland. Both are West of the Icehouse, America West Arena and Bank One Ballpark on or near Jackson Street. >> 2 blocks West and UNDER the 7th Avenue overpass. AutoMATIC is on the SE corner of 9th Avenue & Jackson CheMLAB is one block North of Jackson, on the SE corner of 9th Avenue & Madison. 7th Avenue over- passes both Jackson and Madison Ñ use 1st, 3rd, 4th or 9th Avenues to get to Jackson/Madison.
Walking from the Downtown Hotels/Convention Center: (a 10 min. walk) From the Hyatt, San Carlos, Civic Plaza, Arena, etc. Proceed west on Washington, Jefferson, Madison or Jackson to 6th Avenue. If you are not on Madison or Jackson, head south to Madison (2 blocks S. of Washington, 1 block S of Jefferson). Continue west under the 7th Avenue overpass to 9th Avenue. CheMLAB is on Madison, autoMATIC is a block south on Jackson. If you take Washington, this 10 min. walk takes you by the new Phoenix City Hall . From Interstate 10: Take the 7th Avenue exit, turn South onto 7th Avenue and go towards downtown approximately 1 mile to Washington Street. Turn RIGHT on Washington (a one way street) and proceed 2 blocks to 9th Avenue. Turn LEFT (south) on 9th Avenue and proceed 2 blocks to Madison. CheMLAB is on the SE corner of 9th & Madison. AutoMATIC is one block further south, on the SE corner of 9th Avenue & Jackson. Option: from the Westbound I-10 HOV lane, take the 3rd Street exit, turn left and head towards downtown, turn right on Jackson Street (at AW Arena), head west to 9th Avenue. Avoid during downtown sports events. From Interstate 17: Take the 7th Avenue exit, turn North onto 7th Avenue and go approximately 2 miles towards downtown to Washington Street. Turn LEFT on Washington (a one way street) and proceed 2 blocks to 9th Avenue. Turn LEFT (south) on 9th Avenue and proceed 2 blocks to Madison. CheMLAB is on the SE corner of 9th & Madison. AutoMATIC is one block further south, on the SE corner of 9th Avenue & Jackson.
From Tempe (via surface streets): Take Mill Avenue, McClintock or Rural Road North, across the Salt River bridge to Washington or Curry Street, turn left on Washington/Curry and head West towards downtown Phoenix. From Scottsdale (via surface streets): Take Rural, Hayden, 64th or 68th Street South to Washington or Curry Street turn right on Washington/Curry and head West towards downtown Phoenix. *It's Washington west of Mill Avenue, Curry east of Mill Avenue Proceed on Washington through downtown, past Central and 7th Avenues to 9th Avenue. Turn LEFT (south) on 9th Avenue and proceed 2 blocks to Madison. CheMLAB is on the SE corner of 9th & Madison. AutoMATIC is one block further south, on the SE corner of 9th Avenue & Jackson. From Tokyo or LA (via surface): Walk, taxi or train to Tokyo Bay, then swim or sail East approximately 8000 miles to Santa Monica, California. Walk up to Pacific Coast Highway, grab a taxi and head East on I-10. Proceed 380 miles to Phoenix, take the 7th Avenue exit, turn right onto 7th Avenue and go South towards downtown approximately 1 mile to Washington Street. Turn RIGHT on Washington (a one way street) and proceed 2 blocks to 9th Avenue. Turn LEFT (south) on 9th Avenue and proceed 2 blocks to Madison. CheMLAB is on the SE corner of 9th & Madison.
